This is a limited batch selection. To infuse rich unroasted Congolese cacao with Cabernet Sauvignon, Raaka steamed nibs over lightly simmering wine, then laid the nibs out to dry for several hours before grinding. The result is a chocolate with delectable notes of grape and oak.
This single origin bar showcases cacao from the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Raaka partners with ESCO Kivu to guarantee conflict free cacao grown by Congolese farmers near Virunga National Park. Farmers are paid a minimum of $500 per ton above market price for their fine cacao.
